While resting comfortably on a table, the Reiki practioner allows healing energy to flow from the Universal Source through the practioner to your body and is directed to go where it can perform the necessary healing. Kokoro Reiki can be used for general relaxation, emotional balancing or to address specific physical, mental or emotional patterns. 30 | 55 minutes

Craniosacral Therapy -The craniosacral system (cranio means head and sacral refers to the area at the base of the spine) includes the brain and spinal cord. They are bathed in a craniosacral fluid that has a rhythmic pulse, similar to blood pressure. In a session the therapist senses the pulse with light pressure and looks for any subtle restrictions in the flow of craniosacral fluid. Restrictions are believed to be the cause of poor health, especially conditions related to the brain, spine, and nervous system. Craniosacral has been know to reduce migraines, headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and stress and stress-related disorders. 30 | 55 minutes

Neuromuscular Therapy - is a system of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and nerves) with the structure of the musculoskeletal system. NMT considers five principles that cause pain:

1. Postural distortion - muscular imbalance resulting from the body's movement off the coronal, midsagittal, and horizontal planes in attempts to compensate for the pull of gravity.
2. Biomechanical dysfunction - musculoskeletal imbalance caused by habitual faulty movement or repetitive strain.
3. Soft Tissue causes of these patterns and presenting pain conditions - Ischemia - lack of blood flow to soft tissues which typically cause sensitivity to touch.
4. Trigger points - rapid firing of nerve impulses into areas of the body which may be far from the actual site of pain.
5. Nerve compression or entrapment - pressure on a nerve from bone, cartilage, or soft tissue. Nerve entrapment is the most common type of pain and always causes ischemia.

Tui Na Therapeutic Massage - Tui Na is an ancient form of Chinese Medical Massage and is well known throughout China as an effective division of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It could be used to treat a wide variety of ailments and conditions from musculoskeletal pain (low back, sciatica, sore/tired muscles, or trauma) to internal issues (such as mental distress, migraines, digestive or respiratory problems). As one of the four branches of TCM, Tui Na has worked closely with its sister therapies (Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Qi Gong) throughout history in the East. Tui Na is a great preventative measure for the potential breakdown of mental, emotional, or physical health and is a practical, functional modality that will fit any lifestyle since the client is typically fully clothed. It could easily supplement any aspect of the various health and medical systems today. Used to manipulate and revive soft tissue while stimulating or activating Qi meridians, our vital source of energy, via acupoints throughout the body, Tui Na also incorporates a variety of hand techniques, traction, stretches, and range of motion. Tui Na (meaning push grasp) is fast and effective whether applied in a soft soothing manner to promote rest and relaxation or in an aggressive, invigorating fashion to energize the body spirit connection and clear stagnate energy. 30 | 55 | 80 minutes

Shiatsu

Zen Shiatsu
- is a form of Japanese bodywork that applies direct perpendicular pressure with either thumbs, palms, or elbows to specific as well as nonspecific points along the body's Qi (energy) pathways. The client lays fully clothed on a mat while the practitioner kneels beside or over the client. This system is designed to make the individual be more limber and balanced, encouraging a healthy lifestyle by stimulating active blood and Qi flow. 30 | 55 | 80 minutes

Seitai Shiatsu - a derivative of more traditional styles of Shiatsu, such as Zen Shiatsu, uses circulatory type strokes and friction to relieve the body of blood and lymph stagnation by promoting circulation. A strengthening modality, Seitais objective is to stimulate energy, move fluids, and promote detoxification. This form of Shiatsu is performed with the client fully clothed while lying on a mat. Certain postures are performed together with the practitioner to allow the proper angle for drainage, traction and stretches. 30 | 55 | 80 minutes

Hara (Abdominal Massage) - is the Japanese approach to abdominal massage. Many Eastern cultures have incorporated abdominal massage into their medical practices for thousands of years, and many medical systems in the West have discovered the importance of a healthy colon. Studies have shown that an unhealthy colon is the source of countless degenerative diseases, fatigue, digestive problems, and toxicity. Hara is used to encourage free flowing movement and activity in the digestive tract by alleviating tension, bloating or pain by clearing blockages in the bowels. 30 | 55 minutes

Healing Therapies

Chi Cupping -Cupping is widely used throughout the world and by Allopathic doctors as a way of removing or circulating areas of congestion and stagnation. It is an excellent treatment for those who have recently contracted a cold or flu and for muscle tension throughout the body. In cupping a partial vacuum is created with jars which are applied to the skin, drawing up the underlying tissues and blood stasis. This method has been very effective in treating consumptive and rheumatic diseases for centuries. Originally, cups were made of bamboo or animal horn until ceramic, iron and brass cups were developed. Today, cups made of glass are the most common. 30 minutes

Ear Coning - uses beeswax, tea tree oil and egyptian cloth formed into a cone to help relieve ear pain and congestion. 45 minutes

Medica Moxibustion -Moxibustion is a method whereby moxa, a Chinese herb, is burned above the skin at acupuncture points. The heat warms and activates the qi and blood in the channels and is therefore useful in the treatment of disease and maintenance of health. Sometimes moxibustion is more effective than acupuncture, whereas at other times the two have a synergistic effect. 30 minutes

Reflexology - stimulation of foot reflex points promotes  improved circulation, reduces stress, and encourages healing. 30 | 45 minutes
